Shoaib Akhtar playing his first match in IPL picked up 4 wickets for 11 runs in 3 overs to demolish th Delhi Dare Devils top order and secure an important win for Knight Riders. Shoaib bowling at a regular pace of 150 Kmph was very accurate in his line and varied his length to trouble the delhi batsmen.  The Knight Riders who won the toss chose to bat first but a good bowling attack from Delhi meant Kolkata could only make 134 runs in their 2o overs.

Both Delhi & Bangalore will be itching to get their revenge on Chennai & Kolkata in tonights IPL twenty20 games. Delhi lost their home game against Chennai while Bangalore lost the first home game against kolkata. Delhi has got their top three batsman in premium form while they’ve also got a deadly opening bowling attack in the form of McGrath and Asif. Both these bowlers have also got good support in Yomahesh and Rajat Bhatia, the local players who performed very well in most of the Delhi matches. On the other hand Chennai SuperKings are struggling both with bat and ball at this very important stage in the IPL tournament.

The surprise package of IPL, the Rajasthan Royals have won their three consecutive games and are comfortably placed at number three on the IPL points table. Graeme Smith who scored 71 and 49 in his two outings is looking extremely dangerous and on the other hand Shane watson with his allround performance is a threat to the opposition. Shane Warne is as fresh as a bowler he used to be and has also emerged as an inspiring captain and coach.

IPL Kolkata won the first IPL Twenty-20 match against IPL Bangalore. The Riders out performed the challengers in all departments of the game and much to the delight of the Riders boss Shahrukh Khan they won the game comfortably by 140 runs.

Rahul Dravid captain of Challengers team won the toss and elected to field, but Riders opener Brendon McCullum had different plans. He trashed the Challengers bowling attack to all parts of the park scoring 158 n.o which included 10 fours and 13 sixes. His 158* is the highest individual score in twenty-20 and most likely will remain untouched at least in this tournament.
