Rajasthan Royals have won the IPL 30th match convincingly. Winning toss Shane warne put the deccan chargers to bat. Gilchrist opening the batting as usual scored his consecutive fifty, but a dismal batting towards the end of the innings meant that the Chargers only put up 140 runs on board for the Royals to chase. A scintillating performance by Sohail Tanvir has put Rajasthan Royals right on the top of the points table.
Tanvirs 6/14 against the mighty Chennai SuperKings secured the Royals fifth consecutive win in the IPL 2008 tournament. Chennai captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first, Tanvir saw the back of both the Superkings openers in the very first over. Patel and Flemming were caught plumb in front of the wickets and were sent back to the pavilion without opening their account. In his second over he forced an edge from Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan and put his team on top. Tanvir came back for his second spell and got rid of Albie Morkel the very fist ball. His accuracy pace and bounce were had for the tail to negotiate and were eventually bowled out in over 19. Overall it was an performance and a record that could stay for long time.

The surprise package of IPL, the Rajasthan Royals have won their three consecutive games and are comfortably placed at number three on the IPL points table. Graeme Smith who scored 71 and 49 in his two outings is looking extremely dangerous and on the other hand Shane watson with his allround performance is a threat to the opposition. Shane Warne is as fresh as a bowler he used to be and has also emerged as an inspiring captain and coach.
